Fixender may offer verification-related checks or statuses for certain professionals or accounts.
This Verification Policy explains what verification may involve and what it does and does not mean.
1. Purpose of verification
Verification may be used to:
- help improve trust on the platform
- reduce fraud and impersonation
- support platform safety and moderation
- confirm certain information submitted to Fixender
2. Information we may request
Depending on the context, we may request:
- identity documents
- age information
- address information
- business details
- qualifications, certifications, licences, or insurance documents
- other supporting information reasonably required for verification
3. What verification means
A verified status, badge, label, or similar feature only means that Fixender has reviewed certain information or documents to a level we consider appropriate for our platform purposes.
4. What verification does not mean
Verification does not mean that Fixender:
- guarantees the quality of a professional’s work
- guarantees legality, safety, honesty, competence, or suitability
- confirms that a professional is licensed or insured for every job
- endorses or recommends a professional
- accepts responsibility for any service provided
5. Refusal, withdrawal, and review
Fixender may refuse, withdraw, suspend, or review a verification status at any time where we reasonably believe:
- information is inaccurate, incomplete, expired, or misleading
- documents cannot be verified
- a user or professional has breached our Terms
- there is suspected fraud, impersonation, abuse, or regulatory risk
- continued verification is no longer appropriate
6. Professional responsibility
Even if a professional receives a verified status, they remain solely responsible for:
- the accuracy of their information
- their services
- their legal compliance
- maintaining any qualifications, registrations, permits, licences, or insurance required for their work
7. Data handling
Documents and information submitted for verification will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
